Back from Laos, Our Journey Does not Stop There. WE STILL HAVE A FEW days of camping to enjoy with our friends Alex and Alan in Victoria The Region of Melbourne.
We first sail on Mornington Peninsula, looking for a vineyard where we hope to taste some divine nectar. We shall never find him, but still take advantage of a walk under a blazing sun in the Point Nepean National Park. We then cross the bay by ferry and embark on the Great Ocean Road, beautiful journey along the coastal sandstone cliffs and through forests of eucalyptus. The scorching heat quickly gives way to rain but it does not undermine the morale of troops in the evening of 31 December when we assemble the tents before the storm.

Notre dernière escale sera Ballarat, l'une des principales cités de la ruée vers l'or des années 1850, which turns out to have a nice "collection" of old Victorian buildings. A city of history and architecture, in other words a rarity in Australia.
